Wine & Cheese Class w/ Mural City Cellars

You asked and we heard you: Wine & Cheese Class is here! We are so excited to collaborate with Philly's own urban winery, Mural City Cellars to offer a class all about this classic pairing. Join us for this guided tasting experience featuring a carefully crafted spread of 4 local wines and 4 stunning cheeses to compliment them. 

Nicholas Ducos, the co-owner and winemaker at Mural City will be in the house to introduce us to some of his favorite bottles, and Philly Cheese School's Julia Birnbaum will lead the class alongside Nicholas as they present some spectacular wines and cheeses. Nicholas prides himself on making wines that are casual, un-complicated and easy to enjoy, which perfectly matches the vibe at PCS where we believe enjoying artisanal cheese should be fun and accessible to all!

More About Nicholas Ducos:

Nicholas is the Co-Owner and Winemaker at Mural City Cellars. He is a certified sommelier with experience making wine in Napa, New Zealand and New Jersey, where he fell in love with East Coast winemaking. He and his partner Francesca opened Mural City in 2021 to bring the growing East Coast wine scene to their home city of Philadelphia.

Mural City Cellar's is Philadelphia's first independently-owned urban winery. They make minimal intervention, dry wines made from local grapes grown within a 300-mile radius. Their wine is handmade from picking the grapes to hand labeling the bottles. Mural City Cellars aims to contribute to the growing scene of East Coast winemaking and provide casual, uncomplicated wines for our neighbors and community to enjoy.
