Cheese Basics: Your Empowered Sexuality (YES!) Fundraiser

Join us for an unforgettable evening of cheese and education at Philly Cheese School! Led by our esteemed owner and professional cheese expert, Julia Birnbaum, this exclusive cheese tasting class offers a delectable journey through the world of artisanal cheeses. AND we are excited to welcome Your Empowered Sexuality (YES!), a Philadelphia-based sexuality eduction nonprofit, to the classroom to offer some queer-focused sex education between bites of tasty cheese. 

We are proud to announce that proceeds from this event with be donated to YES! so they can continue their important work of offering anti-oppressive and shame-free sexuality education to people of all ages. PLUS guests at this event will have another opportunity to support YES! with a raffle, sponsored by Passional Boutique.

In this 1-hour session, you will learn about and savor five carefully selected cheeses, all while enjoying the company of fellow cheese enthusiasts in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

As a BYOB event, you are encouraged to bring your favorite bottle of wine or beverage to enhance your cheese tasting experience. Julia will guide you through the subtleties and nuances of each cheese, providing expert insights into flavor profiles, origins, perfect pairings and tasting tips. By the end of the evening, you'll be well-versed in the art of cheese appreciation and ready to impress your friends and family with your newfound knowledge.

Guests at this fun event will have another opportunity to support YES! with a raffle, sponsored by Passional Boutique.

After class, participants will have access to the PCS Classroom Gift Shop, stocked with PCS merchandise and a rotating selection of cheese-themed gift items.

In order to work towards a world that values bodily autonomy for all, YES! provides anti-oppressive and shame-free sexuality education through a social justice lens to people of all ages and across various forms of media so that we can all live more liberated and healthy lives.

Their mission is to provide intersectional, consent-based, shame-free sexuality education to all people using interactive workshops, social media, and other mediums.

• All public classes are BYOB and open only to adults 21+. This class will take place at the PCS Classroom, click here for more info about the space.
• In order to receive a full refund or reschedule, cancellations must be made 24 hours prior to the scheduled event time.
• This page will only show the amount of tickets which are still available for purchase. For example, if you are only able to buy 1 ticket then that means only one seat remains in class.
• If you are purchasing tickets for a group of 6 or more, please consider booking a private event with us instead.
• As this is a fundraising event, tickets cannot be purchased with a gift card.
