Cheese Basics: Girls On The Run Fundraiser

Join us for an unforgettable evening of cheese and camaraderie at Philly Cheese School! Led by our esteemed owner and professional cheese expert, Julia Birnbaum, this exclusive cheese tasting class offers a delectable journey through the world of artisanal cheeses. In this 1-hour session, you will learn about and savor five carefully selected cheeses, all while enjoying the company of fellow cheese enthusiasts in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

As a BYOB event, you are encouraged to bring your favorite bottle of wine or beverage to enhance your cheese tasting experience. Julia will guide you through the subtleties and nuances of each cheese, providing expert insights into flavor profiles, origins, perfect pairings and tasting tips. By the end of the evening, you'll be well-versed in the art of cheese appreciation and ready to impress your friends and family with your newfound knowledge.

We are proud to announce that proceeds from this event will be donated to Girls on the Run, a Philly organization dedicated to inspiring girls of all abilities to recognize their individual strengths, while building a sense of connection in a team setting. 

After class, participants will have access to the PCS Classroom Gift Shop, stocked with PCS merchandise and a rotating selection of cheese-themed gift items.

Girls on the Run has fun, evidence-based programs that inspire all girls to build their confidence, kindness, and decision-making skills. The organization envisions a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. The Philadelphia County council serves 1,300 3rd - 8th graders who identify as girls, gender fluid, gender expansive or non-binary at 60+ sites every school year, and 75% of Philadelphia participants receive scholarships to participate. • All public classes are BYOB and open only to adults 21+. This class will take place at the PCS Classroom, click here for more info about the space.
• This page will only show the amount of tickets which are still available for purchase. For example, if you are only able to buy 1 ticket then that means only one seat remains in class.
• If you are purchasing tickets for a group of 6 or more, please consider booking a private event with us instead.
• As this is a fundraising event, tickets cannot be purchased with a gift card.
