About the event
Join us for an unforgettable evening of cheese and camaraderie at Philly Cheese School! Led by our esteemed owner and professional cheese expert, Julia Birnbaum, this exclusive cheese tasting class offers a delectable journey through the world of artisanal cheeses. In this 1-hour session, you will learn about and savor five carefully selected cheeses, all while enjoying the company of fellow cheese enthusiasts in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
As a BYOB event, you are encouraged to bring your favorite bottle of wine or beverage to enhance your cheese tasting experience. Julia will guide you through the subtleties and nuances of each cheese, providing expert insights into flavor profiles, origins, perfect pairings and tasting tips. By the end of the evening, you'll be well-versed in the art of cheese appreciation and ready to impress your friends and family with your newfound knowledge.
We are proud to announce that proceeds from this event will be donated to the Bella Vista Neighbors Association (BVNA), a local organization dedicated to fostering a strong sense of community and improving the quality of life for PCS and our neighbors. By attending our cheese tasting class, you'll not only be treating your taste buds to an unforgettable experience but also supporting a great cause!
After class, participants will have access to the PCS Classroom Gift Shop, stocked with PCS merchandise and a rotating selection of cheese-themed gift items.
More about BVNA:
"The Bella Vista Neighbors Association's (BVNA) mission is to increase Bella Vista's quality of life and strengthen community bonds. BVNA encourages civic involvement, provides a neutral and public discussion forum, supports the delivery of government services, promotes dialogue with elected officials, and works to bring the community together. We are an all-volunteer, nonprofit, registered community organization (RCO). BVNA's volunteers donate their time to a variety of issues including Zoning, Beautification, Events, and partnering with our parks, schools, business corridors, and cultural institutions on many neighborhood Improvement projects.
BVNA is currently fundraising to be able to be in a position to kick off #litterfreeBV, Bella Vista's sidewalk and curb sweeping program, every other week! BVNA partnered with ACAM in 2018, a woman-owned, minority-owned business, who have been great partners in terms of offering flexibility and cost-effective service that worked for our needs and followed the trash pick-up cadence. The current once-monthly sweep is all BVNA can afford until we rebuild the funds for the service. By purchasing a ticket to this class, you are supporting the fundraising efforts for this program.
